ABAORD USS ESSEX Corporal Joshua Hwang, a machinegunner with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, engages targets, May 31, during a live-fire exercise to refresh his skills. Hwang and the rest of Wpns. Co. participated in an enhanced marksmanship program to increase their proficiency with tactical reloading and operating their weapons in a fluid manner. BLT 2/1 is the ground combat element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
